Manny Arzate
Manny Arzate is a 27-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and a United States Navy veteran, dedicated to safeguarding communities and developing innovative public safety strategies. His extensive worldwide travel has enriched his expertise in addressing foreign and domestic terrorism threats.
Throughout his LAPD career, Manny has excelled in various roles, specializing in patrol operations, gang intervention, undercover crime suppression, surveillance, and serving as a watch commander. His most recent assignment was as Watch Commander at the Transit Services Division, where he oversaw the day-to-day security and crime suppression for all train and bus operations for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) across Los Angeles. Manny also spearheaded strategies to mitigate terrorist risks within the public transportation system of the greater Los Angeles area.
As a subject matter expert, Manny is highly skilled in Critical Site Threat Assessment, Command and Control, leadership development, field operations during critical incidents, surveillance, Crisis Negotiation Response, Mental Health Intervention, Workplace Violence, and Active Shooter Training and Response. His extensive training includes foreign terrorism, Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response, Multi Assault Counter Terrorism Action Capability (MACTAC), and Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD). Manny’s certifications also include the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Professional Designation (CPD) awarded by the National Institute for Crime Prevention. He is also a Part 107 FAA certified commercial drone pilot.
Manny holds Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced California Peace Officer Standards Training (POST) Certificates. He remains steadfast in his commitment to enhancing public safety and cultivating leadership within law enforcement.
